The Library of Virginia is pleased to announce two new digital collections just added to the library's Virginia Memory site. The first is the Lost Records Localities digital collection 1674-1887, which consists of copies of records from counties or incorporated cities that suffered significant record loss due to factors such as floods, fire, war etc. The copies were found in a variety of collections throughout the Library.

The second collection is the Public Buildings and Grounds Collection and consists of selected images from the  local government records collection. Users will find drawings and plans for various 18th and 19th century local government structures, such as courthouses and jails. Both collections can be accessed using the following address.
