H. F. Haymore, the clerk of the circuit court for Pittsylvania County, was recently inducted into the Danville Community College Sports Hall of Fame for his outstanding contributions to the athletic program. H. F. has faithfully and passionately officiated sports for many years in Pittsylvania County and neighboring jurisdictions. He has umpired baseball for 36 years and has referred basketball for 32 years. His favorite sport is baseball and his favorite professional baseball teams are the Atlanta Braves and the New York Yankees. H. F.’s induction into the Sports Hall of Fame is no surprise to those who know him as H.F. serves his local community in many ways in addition to serving as an elected leader as clerk of the circuit court. He has shared his talents in the VCCA by serving as the legislative committee chair and co-chair for many years and has dedicated countless hours to the VCCA. H.F. is an example of the leadership and community service that are demonstrated by all 120 clerks of circuit court statewide. The clerks of circuit court are pleased to help make our local communities better and our Commonwealth better. The VCCA extends its congratulations to H.F. and we commend him on his dedication to serving others. |
